Being Style Ready
With Autumn/Winter almost behind us, what’s new for Spring/Summer 2020?
Ok ok.. yes its still technically winter. But in the fashion world, we should have been already heavily into moving winter stock and stepping into the markdown space to make way for the launch of SS come August.
So while in lockdown and under covid19 restrictions, we completely missed the excitement of a new season launch (AW20). Although there is a silver lining - in that we just cannot deny the level of anticaption we have for the mass clearance sale that’s about to hit us. *Fingers crossed!*
Regardless, looking forward to Spring/Summer 20 is still uncertain, in terms of what we can and can’t do and where we can and can’t go. So our advice on any new purchases is to ...
Keep it classic.
Some insights on key trends off the SS collections are:
1. Mom shorts
Back with the 90’s story again! We can’t deny it.. we love it! Get yourself some high-rise, mid thigh - potentially khaki mom shorts. Pair it with a simple tee and a beautiful sandal and you’re sorted!
2. Matching Sets
Yes! We’re talking coordinated tops and bottoms - even twinsets!!! Its the easiest way to look ‘put together’!
3. Take it easy
Having had loungewear a staple during quarantine, we have to assume that it will be harder for some to loose the relaxed look. Keep it for SS, just keep it in style.
4. Throwback Collars
Step into a 40’s meets 50’s vibe with the popular collar trend happening between preppy to pilgrim to polo.
5. The bigger the better!
Everything from balloon sleeves to ruffles. Just make sure you balance your look.. so with a puff sleeve top, pair it with some slim-fit bottoms.
