3 Times Royals Invaded The Queens Closet
Closet goals for the British Royals begins in Her Majesty’s vintage wardrobe.
When you’re a member of the Royal Family, its pretty normal to expect that you would be wearing some of the Queen’s jewels or fashion for major royal occasions. From pieces that have been passed down to Her Majesty from her peers (ie, fellow Kings & Queens) - nice friends hey?
I guess one of the ‘perks’ of being a royal, means that you have access to try these stunning pieces on.
Below are a list of our top 3 times Royals invaded The Queens closet :
Yes the most recent and talked about is Princess Beatrice at her wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, this last weekend. The Princess chose two of her grandmother’s pieces. From her short-sleeved - totally in trend- vintage gown that originally belonged to Queen Elizabeth II. To her mid-length veil and Queen Mary’s diamond fringe tiara. Which Queen Elizabeth wore to her own wedding to Prince Philip in 1947.
Princess Diana (gosh do we love her!), wore this diamond and platinum necklace on a few occasion. The neck piece was gifted to Queen Elizabeth in 1979 by King Khalid of Saudi Arabia.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton
Kate is one Royal who has gained free reign over the Queens collections. Often we see throwbacks to various pieces of the Queen’s that the Duchess pulls off. This diamond & Platnium necklace was a gift to the Queen from the Nizam of Hyderaba. One of the richest men in the world at the time, gave the Queen the gift of ‘anything she wanted at Cartier’. She happily walked away with this stunner and the matching floral tiara.
